I've always thought I was a mundane-no talent student. That is, until God helped me realise that I excelled in 2 things: 1) Sports 2) Communicating effectively. Although I've had many physical injuries due to my activeness I was in sports, the passion for it never stopped me. I've always wanted to know how things work the way they do. This inquisitiveness of mine drove me into analysing the human body. When I read the curriculum overview of Sports Science & Management, I can't help but to feel I already am a sports science student. This is what I really love; I will give my all to excel in this course.

I only realised that I was able to communicate well when I was studying in the polytechnic. When my core science and mathematics modules didn't help me much in attaining a good G.P.A, my language modules excelled. Majority of my distinctions and A's came from my language modules. I've been trained the past 5 years in communicating both verbally and on paper. I've led tribes in camps for about 100 youths, been a leader in church for 5 years now-that requires me to lead discussion every week and on top of that I am also the Head Usher of my Youth Service in church. All these activities required me to know what other people wanted, disseminate information correctly, expressing my thoughts out in a way people can understand and so on. In addition to all my involvements, I actually do enjoy every single one of them. Whatever challenges Communication Studies have for me, I believe I'll be able to overcome with the determination that kept me going all these while. This is definitely the course for me.

This was friday's encounter,

i would not even say that the paper was difficult

it was purely lacking on my part

when i went in for the exam, i felt like i was walking into the room of failure

you know, doing something that you have to but you know you won't succeed?

not because God is not on my side

but knowing that i myself didn't even do what i was supposed to

so i deserved that

but as the picture above states a 1000 times i failed still Your mercy remains

so His mercy was shown in what i'm about to say

even though i knew that i didn't deserve anything better, i still cried out to God for help

i knew i needed to suffer the consequences but i still pleaded with God with all my might

10% was what i knew about that module

so 10% was the marks i deserved right?

God showed up.

about 40% of the 10% i studied, came out.

Yes, i know i might still fail but this is God's mercy to me

when i left the exam venue i can't help but to give thanks to God

knowing for all i've done, He still loves me.

i just realised that twitter most of the time,
only states either the initial feelings or the end results of a person
(whether good or bad)
but never the process
blogs are sometimes the one describing the processes

the processes are important too,
it allows you to know that its real, its tough.

so i get really encouraged by tweets that states
that irregardless of what they're facing, they are still victorious
i'm not saying those who are just blindly cheering on with their shimmery poms poms
but the fact when people rely on God wholeheartedly
never worrying, always trusting God
those are the tweets i get encouraged by &i (L) it

sadly, i still don't see much
i do get discouraged by tweets that depicts failure, hopelessness, giving up etc.
i really hope to see twitter-a place of encouragement
that i'll look forward to check twitter everyday &be encouraged!

i've been wanting to blog for a really long time
but everyday i'm too busy &tired to
so..yeap here's a post!

mission trip was AWEEEEEEESOMEEEEE
(as you can see from the pictures above)

i have a testimony i would like to share from chengdu mission trip!
however, some names would be replaced with person A blabla
:D

From before mission trip to the approaching of the people in Cheng Du to sharing Christ, every single thing was definitely with God. Because i know myself, and if weren't for God, i would not be able to do what i've done.

The first 2 days, i've gotta admit that i didn't really do much talking because i was very much in fear. But i knew that i had to do something, i cannot just let this mission trip pass just like that. I wanted God to work through me (i mean, that is what i went to mission trip for!), i was willing, i was ready.

On wednesday, when Zhong Hua, Yi Ning and myself invited Person A and Person B to the church office to share Christ to them was when a breakthrough occurred. Although Zhong Hua was mostly sharing the lesson 1 of new life, there was a point where the Holy Spirit prompted me to say something because that would answer their question and Zhong Hua wasn't saying it. &I did! I also shared my testimony awhile after that. Initially i also specified to them that i would share my testimony in english and they didn't have any objections cause they know abit of english too. So i started out saying engligh-chinese, english-chinese. as i went on and on, i begin to find myself speaking chinese only! IT WAS CERTAINLY THE HOLY SPIRIT. Of course it wasnt easy, my heart thumping really hard &fast, but i still obeyed. &because of that, a miracle happened.

Another highlight was during thursday. When we invited our friends over. After Sis Wan Ping shared, and we were supposed to break into our groups, i was with Person C. Zhong Hua told us to pray for our friends and then share with them. Well, this time its 1 step further because on wed, there is still Zhong Hua or Yi Ning there. but now, i'm on my own to pray for her! &i know myself i can easily ask someone else to help me, but i know that by doing that, i will be limiting God. i just felt that i really need to pray for her. &so i started, halfway through the prayer, i heard sobbing. At that moment i knew something in her was stirring, i knew God was working. :) After the prayer, i shared with her about Jesus. Although throughout the whole time i did ask YiNing and Sis Wan Ping to help me, i knew i've already allowed the Holy Spirit to work through me.

i really thank God and everyone in this mission trip team. i LOVE this mission trip. Not only cause God worked through me, but people in the mission trip team were also very encouraging.

Last but not least, i would like to say, if you were to ask me if i'm willing to go back to chengdu for another mission trip, i woud be more than happy too

so i've been kinda busy lately,

so i was just browsing the internet when i chance upon this picture,

it's beautiful isn't it?

1 of my recent lifegroup introduction was say something weird about yourself

yea, i've got something weird, we all do.

then throughout the week i thought of more weird stuffs about myself

1. I cut my own hair. yes as in, all of it. (this is what i said for my lifegroup introduction)

2. I can count using my fingers how many times i've drank bubble tea in my whole life. That's cause i don't really like bubble tea, even KOI. I think it's weird cause everyone's so excited when they hear someone say "I BOUGHT KOI!"

3. I'm not a big fan of cameras, photography and all. I just appreciate pictures, paintings etc. I find this weird cause almost everyone thinks photography is awweeeessommmeee and would spend sooo much on a DSLR.

hahaha yes, this is just the 3 that popped into my mind while i was blogging,

soooooo i'm a lil weird but that's how God made us to be, huh!

so i couldn't keep my hand from the scissors &from my hair

have you ever wanted to study but u just cant?

u know, have that URGH feeling?

idk if u had before but im so sure i HAD

&it sucks!

because you know you have an exam the next day&there you are NOT studying!

so here's some tips for you to help you to study the next time you have that feeling

which is what i do for myself too

1. change a location to study.

from your room to your living room? or perhaps bring a portable table to the balcony or to a corner of a room.
or just go out to study
location is vital &it does affect the productiveness, you need to change location every now &then, ya know?

2. change the atmosphere of where ya studying at

you cant do much when u're outside but when ure at home, instead of just popping in ear piece, why not play it softly on a speaker in the background?
it works, trust me

3. spice up the way you study

do you work best when you're moving around? writing? talking? know &work at it.
for those who are writing, instead of just writing on a piece of paper, why not have a lil whiteboard &write it there to help u memorise? it keeps you fascinated,interested and helps to save the earth.

4. plan out what you need to study

have 2 columns, 1st heading: "what i need to study in order to get an A for this module"
2nd heading: "what im gona do after my exams, during the holidays"
but be careful! you might just end up doing the stuff you wanted to do after your exams &not studying! (happened to me twice alr) haha!

5. start out with something light

im sure in a module, there's a chapter which u enjoy, easy to do, dont mind doing it.
so, start on that 1st! get yourself immerse in studying, start a momentum &keep it going

if ~~all these dont work for you then just~~ you studied fin what you planned to or during ur breaks..
